A report by Deloitte predicts that artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare could add $25-30 billion to India’s GDP by 2025. This growth is driven by programs like the IndiaAI Mission and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which aim to build a strong digital healthcare system in India.
The report reveals that more than 40% of the healthcare sector has adopted AI, surpassing sectors like FMCG (30%) and manufacturing (25%). Despite obstacles such as regulatory challenges and limited digital infrastructure, AI-powered tools, like advanced diagnostics and digital health records, are revolutionizing patient care in India.
