At an event by Axios in Pittsburgh, Luis von Ahn, the CEO of Duolingo, talked about how AI is changing education significantly, especially in learning languages. He said that AI helps Duolingo make learning content faster and provides personalized experiences for users.
For instance, users can now have video call conversations with AI, which makes learning more engaging. Luis von Ahn believes that AI will eventually help with learning other subjects like math, music, and chess. The aim is to give every learner a personal tutor tailored to their needs.
